Opponents of the European model of cap-n-trade system warn this type of corruption would happen. Come on, you didn't think it was about the environment. With the failures of the European cap-n-trade system why would any US politician entertain such a system in America? In an op-ed in the Roanoke Times Paul J. Georgia said it best:
